PRESENT: Tami Volz, Diane Parham, Karen Jones, Kristin Gunson, Deborah Barnes, Mark Wreath, Laura McCoid, Marv Clemons, Len Eaton, Thelma Clemons
NOT PRESENT: Fred Haynes, Mary-Lynn Monroe, Scott Glitz, Susanne Daggett and Jim Schoelkopf.
FINANCE: Deborah Barnes moved that the 2005-2006 year end financial report be approved and accepted as presented. Laura McCoid seconded; motion carried.
CONCEPT PAPER: Tami Volz, Kristen Gunson and Laura MCTE education needs in Oregon and subsequently plan activities to address those needs. The sub-committee will also look at a three-year plan for new teachers. Deborah Barnes suggested that the committee contact Clackamas administrators Non Hammerschmidt or Cinda Morrison to review the three-year plan that they have in place or the possibility of rolling out Clackamas’ T-1 information to a greater audience. Kristen will make the contact.
C-VENT: Tami Volz viewed an online presentation by Cvent, an event planning company in Washington D.C. Thelma, Mark Wreath and Len Eaton will also review the presentation and give a report at the next Board meeting.
A discussion was held on the option of video taping conference presentation. Deborah Barnes will provide vendor names to Marv. These vendors may be willing to do the taping for us. Further discussion was tabled for the next Board meeting.
OACTE WEB: Len Eaton provided an overview of the present content of the OACTE website. The following for additions or updates were suggested:
Deborah Barnes and Diane Parham will develop list of benefits of membership.
Mary-Lynn Monroe and Laura McCoid need to send photos to Len for the Board section of the web site.
LEGISLATION: Deborah Barnes reported on possible policies to be adopted by the Legislative Task Force:
Deborah called for a stronger connection between the State Taskforce group(SB 364) and OACTE.
2006 EVALUATIONS: Recommended sessions for 2007:
2007 CONFERENCE: April 18-20, 2007
Thelma will check with Salishan to pursue options for additional meeting space.

NCLA CONF.: Kristen Gunson disseminated information on the NCLA fall conference agenda. The conference will be held in Vancouver, Wa., October 18-19, 2006. Please contact Kristen for further information.
