Theresa announced that Harry Holton , auto tech. Teacher from
Siuslaw High, has received the State PTE Teacher of the Year Award and
suggested that Harry be given recognition at the 2003 Spring Conference. CONFERENCE:
A proposal was made that the conference title be changed to "Real
Solutions: Doing What's Good for Kids".
Discussed that it wouldn’t apply to postsecondary PTE so
decided to stick with Real Solutions:
Where the Rubber Meets the Road” unless we come up with something
else. Ideas???
Solutions to what?
Solutions to implementation of CIM/CAM/PTE/graduation
requirements/assessment, etc.
List Serve: Nancy will
query membership with a survey. Ask potential participants what challenges people have that
need solutions. Input from the field.
Major question: How can we use this conference, our resources, to
best support your work?

vehicles to use to manage interest sessions: Panel organized as discussion sessions involving
audience based as pre-framed questions. ·

strategy to combine events to get maximum benefits: Possibly convene network sessions with round tables
with social hour prior to banquet and include tours. ·

Colored stickers on name tags denoting size of school. ·

"take homes" from conference: Possibly provide tote bags, t-shirts with conference
logo. ·
Keynote
speaker- someone outside of our PTE box. Beth will research possibilities.
